We have feedback loops registered and functional but some of the complaints are going to both our fbl address and also OrgAbuseEmail listed on ARIN.

Does anyone has any idea on why this is happening?

Thank you.

Did you use a unique email like fbl@fbl.yourdomain.com as is recommended in the User's Guide?

Yes, we did use a unique fbl email (fbl@ourdomain.com)

Just today we have received 2 complaints from the ip owner. And the same 2 complains were already processed by our fbl processor.

Your email is different than the example I provided.  Notice mine has a subdomain, yours does not.  I would suggest switching to our recommended email format.

We can do that.
But could you help me understand why it would fix the issue we are having?

Thank you.

The user guide recommends using a subdomain because it's easier to segment mail with `<domain fbl.example.com>` than if you were to use your root domain, which may include corporate addresses, abuse, postmaster, etc.

That makes sense.

But how(and why) this setup would prevent spam complaints reaching the ip owner?

What do you have configured for your <feedback-loop-processor>?

For feedback loop email address we are using fbl@domain.com as we want to be able to manually review complaints.
On fbl@domain.com we have an email redirect to fbl@fbl.domain.com and from there the mta comes in and processes them.

We do this so we can also receive and review the manual complaints ourselves while also automatically forwarding those complaints to the fbl@fbl.domain.com to allow the mta to process those complaints as well.

So in the end, we are segmenting mail with <domain fbl.example.com>

Here is what we have defined in the mta config file

<domain fbl.domain.com>
        type pipe
        command "/path-to-php/php /path-to-script/fbl-processor.php"
</domain>

So, with all this said, how do we stop these manual complaints from reaching our IP Owner (our mail server host)?

Thank you.

<feedback-loop-processor>
     deliver-email no
     forward-unmatched-to email-here
     forward-errors-to email-here
     <address-list>
           address /fbl@fbl.mydomain.com/
     </address-list>
</feedback-loop-processor>

Hmm, that doesn't seem to be the issue.  Can you post the headers from the emails in question?  It would be good to see where they are coming from and the hops they are making.

Too much is missing.  Can you send the full headers to support@port25.com?  Also, please zip and send your full config file.

On it.

The headers included in my previous reply were from the ticket our host opened. I just edited the domain and ip address.

Do you want me to include a full complaint received at our fbl address? Or just the part our host disclosed?
