PMTA mail routing to exchange server
« on: September 07, 2018, 07:41:05 AM »

Hi,

We are warming up our IPs.
All the extra traffic is being routed to exchange server which is our old infrastructure.
Exchange servers are part of AD.
We have added PMTA Machine in same AD as trusted machines.
Exchange server connectors has given permission to PMTA machine to send mails.
Through this PMTA should be able to connect to Exchange without any user id and password.

This feature is not working. Is it mandatory to provide user id and password for routing?

Thanks

you do not need to give a username or password to relay to a different host. The downstream host needs to be configured to accept the mail and relay it as needed though. "route <IP>:25" should work
