Good Power MTA Log Analyser Software
« on: September 19, 2011, 03:52:07 AM »

Greetings fellow PMTA users,

Does anyone on here know of a good application for analysing the Power MTA Accounting files? We do not need real time (running on the server) so the Perl Scripts published here are not needed. What I am looking for is an application which can be configured to produce deliverability reports (X mails per hour to Yahoo etc.) on a weekly or ad hoc basis.

I have looked through a few this morning but nothing has jumped out of the screen and landed in my lap.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Have you looked at writing some code around pmtastats (which comes free with PowerMTA), if you want the running of the stats application automated?

If the built in pmtastats is not sufficient , you might want to consider "SawMill" ... very good software.

Also don't forget the PowerMTA Management Console (PMC).

Similar solutions as Sawmill are Graylog2, Greenplum and Splunk.

I personally use custom Perl scripts to generate reports on sources, senders, virtual mtas and providers.
