Could anyone provide any insight into their configuration for prominent Brazilian domains such as terra.com.br? I'm signed up for their FBL.

I can't find any on line resources.

A search on goolge for "terra.com.br postmaster"  turned up this in the top results:
http://mail.terra.com.br/postmaster/postmaster-en.html

I would suggest searching for other domains in a similar manner.

Many of those small ISPs in South America are using spamhaus CSS filtering and you get caught many times even if you have several ips mailing at the same time.

If you are getting caught in the Spamhaus CSS list there is a reason for it  . If you appear to Spamhaus to be a snowshoe spammer you may want to take a deeper look at your practices.

Some months back I was also having issues delivering to any and all .br domains. Then I found out that many of those smaller domains use google api. In order to get delivery without an issue I started playing with smpt out connections, etc. as part of the research, I finally overcame delivery issues, if you need a start on that, use 2 smtp out and 50 msg per connection and go from there. You will need enough volume to really fine tune it. Depending on your scenario you can have one config for all .br or a separate one for each big .br domain. My config might be a little conservative but it gets the job done. It is usual for me to start with either 20 smtp out or 2 smtp out and then I work my way up or down.

It's not too hard to find a good configuration with .br domains as the volumes are so low that, as you said, you can start with a really slow/low configuration and work your way up without detrimental affects on your throughput.

That's right - Google Apps Mail - And that doesn't work like gmail does, at least I couldn't figure that out.

Hey,
We are not lucky like you as we have many users on uol.com.br , bol.com.br , terra.com.br and many others.
We had to work out a few hours on it to find the best delivery settings for .br domains.
The only thing you have to know is that they are old style ISPs and they dont like many connections open at the same time.
So be careful with your max smtp out.

We are also seeing below error from time to time :

450 4.7.1 You've exceeded your sending limit to this domain.

Yes,
On the postmaster's website, they say the sender IP is unlocked after a few hours and then, it can retry to send more messages. But it keep blocking after a few messages.
Also have a "4.5.0", "too many errors" that is not listed in any help or information on the website.
I'll keep changing the max smtp out and max msg per connection.  =/
