From an interesting discussion I had on LinkedIN today, I wanted to pose this

IMO,No.
Anything that goes over a whitelisted ip would go to inbox but even ips with great rep might face junking.

I couldn't agree with you more Calvin  8)

Whitelisted IP's are simply NOT checked by any type of anti-spam system at the recipient end.
While reputable IP's face all anti-spam systems in place at the recipient end, but they are passed through because
they send good content, good habbits, etcetera.

But there is a major difference in whitelisted IP's and reputable IP's .

:D I know the discussion you are talking about, I have stayed out of it. The guy doesn't know as much as he thinks he does, there are very few actual whitelists in service today.

You are absolutely right. Unfortunately I didn't find my "common sense" at that perticular time to not react  ;D

An IP with a good reputation does not mean it is whitelisted. We have a client whom sends third party data and somehow their IPs are rated very highly even though they don't receive too well at various ISPs.
