I noticed some strange behavior with gmail.com. When watching the monitor, I noticed that the number of recipient would climb to a high number (1000+) with no connections open and no error response shown. Then, all of the sudden, connections open and the queue empties out.
After logging the commands I noticed this happens when Gmail sends back the response "452-4.2.2 The email account that you tried to reach is over quota." PMTA will stop all connections and it only starts sending when the "retry" time is hit again (currently at 10m). Is this normal behavior? Here are the commands from the logs:
