Finding non-existent Recipients when MX doesn't provide FBL
« on: March 23, 2017, 08:59:28 AM »

Hi,

I created an earlier ticket where i had issues with Free.Fr
I've just found out we are sending emails with non-existent recipients, and hence being blocked.

Free.FR doesn't implement FBL (Feedback Loops).

How can we work out which of the email addresses are invalid?

All i get in the logs is just:
smtp;451 too many errors detected from your IP (xxxx), please visit http://postmaster.free.fr/

I would expect to get "invalid recipient" or something like that...

you probably did get a number of bounces, and then they blocked you because of sending to invalid recips.

hmm makes sense.
The only problem is this has been going on for some time... so not sure how long ago we would have received the bounce messages i.e. we probably dont have logs...
