550 5.7.64 TenantAttribution
« on: September 28, 2017, 11:29:40 AM »

Hello guys,

We are seeing in two of the last 3 days on some (not all) hotmail local accounts (.es, .it, .fr,....) the following bounce message: "550 5.7.64 TenantAttribution; Relay Access Denied". We are not able to see any relationship that could explain this issue. We are probably missing something, but as far as we haven't change anything on the configuration and this it seems kind a random we would like to ask for help. Is anyone seeing this error message? Thank you so much in advance.

Best regards,

Hotmail may have changed their MX servers, again.  You may want to remove those domains from the domain-macro.  Can you list the domains here?

Thanks for you quick answer.

It seams that the MX are still the same although we see that the domains bounces aren't de .com ones, and in any case it seems random. Some examples:

dartybox.com
dbmail.com
dimnet.fr
hotmail.be
hotmail.ch
hotmail.cl
hotmail.co.jp
hotmail.com.ar
hotmail.com.br
hotmail.com.tr
hotmail.de
hotmail.es
hotmail.gr
hotmail.it
hotmail.nl
hotmail.no
hotmail.se
jerez.es
live.be
live.cl
live.cn
live.co.za
live.com.ar
live.com.mx
live.com.pt
live.de
live.fr
live.ie
live.it
live.jp
live.nl
live.no
live.ru
live.se
lusomail.fr
netcabo.pt
outlook.be
outlook.com.ar
outlook.de
outlook.es
outlook.fr
outlook.it
outlook.pt
piedrascorzo.com
postribe.com
telmexmail.com
windowslive.com
yell.es

What macro configuration do you recommend for hotmail domains? Should we move these out to a different macro? Thank you in advance.

Best regards

It may be best to disable any rollup you may have for hotmail right now (or at lest for the list of domains).  Putting them together may be the root of the issue.

Good morning,

According to our logs, it looks like outlook is running some changes in their infrastructure as new MX records are appearing in their DNS. So it all looks like they are changing something inside and running some testing. Could anyone provide some information, confirm or deny this situation? Thank you.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or are we alone on this?

Best regards.
