How did you manage go get that type of throughput? We can barely get 20mails/sec processed through Interspire. Their technical support has been less than helpful. Could you share/PM any specific tuning configurations you have taken on Interspire to make this happen?

I sent you a PM  ;)

We are the developers of Interspire MPS Addon that allows to open up Multithreaded SMTP Connections to any SMTP server.
This allows for far greater speeds in Interspire Email Marketer.
Feel free to get in touch with me.

According to Oempro's public community blog, Oempro customers achieving 20M, even 40M emails per day.

Take a look at their forum:

In my opinion, interspire is quite faster than oempro, especially when using large lists. That said, the level of mysql server optimization plays a huge part in performance of both.

A shameless plug, I developed a multithreaded addon for interspire (msh addon) that can increase interspire sending speed several tens of times, while using all the available physical and logical CPU cores. Here is a simple benchmark  while running on a simple EC2 server with no mysql optimization : http://vimmaniac.com/news/%E2%80%9Cmulti-send-handler%E2%80%9D-addon-released-taking-interspire-email-marketeriem-performance-to-a-whole-new-level/
